Great news for our host venue this morning in the 2011 Austin Chronicle “Best Of Austin” announcements: They’ve been noted as the Best Grand Re-Opening in Austin!

This honor is well-deserved after the hard work Mike and Krissi and Dave and Laurel and Jay and the whole crew at the ND have been doing for the last three years! The shows are awesome, the crowd is diverse and the venue has become a local institution already!

Huge ups to our friends who have helped us so much to get to where we are today as well. It’s been wonderful growing with y’all! Congrats!!!

Get your BRAINS in the game, gang!

Hey, y'all!

Before SXSW invades downtown for its conference-style debauchery, we're going to get hardcore in neuroscience with a show about BRAINS.

That's right: BRRRRRRRRAINS.

Since we don't know anything about neuroscience, we're probably going to occupy a lot more pseudo-science, horror science and... NOT ACTUAL science.

Our crack team of heady investigators are going to use their own massive brains to learn about other brains of all shapes and sizes so we can all develop deeper, meatier grooves in our own hemispheres. It's gonna get real meta, is what we're saying.

But still, it is the Encyclopedia Show, so you can probably expect a lot of jokes about zombies and blunt head trauma, too.

Sound good? GRRRRRREAT! Let's do it!
